Residents of Cowra and surrounding communities are invited to attend community pop-up sessions for the new $110.2 million Cowra Hospital Redevelopment as construction for the project nears completion.
The pop-up sessions will take place at the Nguluway Room, adjacent to the Cowra Library, and provide an opportunity for staff and the local community to meet the project team and learn more about the redevelopment as construction progresses.
The Cowra Hospital Redevelopment community pop-up sessions are scheduled for:
• Wednesday 22 October 2025, 9.00am – 11.00am
• Wednesday 19 November 2025, 12.00pm – 2.00pmExtensive feedback and consultation with health professionals, staff, patients and Aboriginal community representatives has shaped the design for the redeveloped hospital.
When complete, the new hospital building will provide a modern and purpose-built health facility for the region and will include:
• An emergency department
• A general medical and surgery inpatient ward
• A peri-operative service
• A maternity unit with a dedicated nursery
• Ambulatory care
• A dental clinic
• Renal dialysis
• Oncology
• Community health and mental health, drug and alcohol services
• The hospital’s first ct scanner.
Health services are continuing to operate during construction of the new hospital, with the new heath facility on track for completion at the end of 2025. The community will continue to be updated as work progresses.
