Are you currently planning your long weekend activities and are looking for somewhere to take your long weekend visitors? Then a great place to visit with your friends, family and holiday visitors is the GOOLOOGONG RECREATION PARK WINTER MARKETS on SUNDAY, 11 JUNE 2023 from 9am to 1pm.

Have you thought ‘I need to review my current underwear selection’ or ‘I need to get my dog or cat micro chipped’ or ‘I would like to buy a nice selection of original aboriginal art’ then these new stalls will be attending the Gooloogong Recreation Park markets and are the place you must check out. Also a new salami stall will be attending and Claudia Harrison, a local authoress, will be there with her new release for purchase and signature. To date there are have over 40 stalls booked offering a wide range of quality products such as fresh fruit and vegetables, gourmet breads and pastries, cheese, salami, preserves, olives, craft, clothing, candles, soaps, jewellery, Professional Bra fitter, photography, art, food flavourings, woodwork, garden art, signs, sewing, jams, plants, bric a brac and much more. You are sure to find something that will take your eye while the young children have the opportunity to get active on the park play equipment and Dad given the opportunity to show off his talents on the park exercise equipment.

The markets are proving very popular with visitors from all over the district who come to see the wide range of stalls and partake of the range of food and coffee available, listen to music by the local buskers or just get together and catch up with friends. Please be aware that EFTPOS facilities at the markets are not always available due to poor internet reception so be prepared with cash to make sure you do not miss out on that special purchase.

After spending time at the markets why not wander to the Gooloogong Hotel or the Gooloogong Country Club and have a drink or enjoy a walk to the Lachlan River checking the informative local history stations along the walk. When the markets have finished the local hotel will hold its Open Mike Session showcasing talent from all over the district. Why not stay for a while and join the toe-tapping audience.
