Classical pianist Simon Tedeschi and flautist Sally Walker will play a delightful program of French works by Gabriel Faure, Erik Satie, Georges Bizet and Francis Poulenc at 7pm on 19 June at Perennialle Plants.

Simon Tedeschi is one of Australia’s most renowned classical pianists, winner of the Young Performer of the Year award (Australia), the Creativity Foundation’s Legacy award (USA), and the New York Young Jewish Pianist award. He has performed for audiences, royalty and world leaders across the globe, from the Sydney Opera House to Carnegie Hall.

Simon visited Canowindra on two occasions a few years ago to play the Collard&Collard grand piano for Sydney Conservatorium’s famous pianist Isadore Goodman. The iconic instrument lived for many years at All Saints Church in Canowindra.

When All Saints acquired a younger baby grand piano, the older instrument was moved into what is now Chris and Nerida Cuddy’s Perennialle Plants. This wonderful asset owned by the community will be held in trust by the family in perpetuity. The Cuddys already begun using the space for pop-up musical gigs, starting with the release of Nerida’s album Woven earlier this month. Tickets for the concert can be purchased online for $50 pp at rb.gy/5ped2i and there will be an opportunity to meet and have a glass of wine with the musicians after the concert.

The event comes ahead of the annual Baroquefest concert on 18 September. Tickets can be purchased online at www.baroquefest.org.au.
