The Palms Twilight Market, held monthly in Canowindra, continues to grow from strength to strength and has become a staple on the must attend list, for Canowindra locals and residents in the surrounding district.

Aptly named, The Palms is a beautiful vacant block with grassy slopes down to the river flats and a flat area shaded by ancient palm trees on the main street. The block is located between Finns Old Store and Perennialle Plants.

With each market having a different concept, the October event will be - Oktoberfest - bierhall, being held on 21st October, and you can expect an array of inspired food and drink, fitting to the theme.

As the weather starts to warm in November, the volunteer committee has really upped the ante, and needs community involvement for the first ‘The Palms Got Talent’.

“We would love individuals, groups, anyone who is willing to get up and share their talent, no matter how unusual your talent may be! It’s all about bringing the community together and most of all having fun!” Committee member, Sabrina Bisinella, explains.

“There are a number of great prizes donated by local businesses and the support has been amazing. We hope to bring together the region’s talent for one big show!”

Whether you sing, dance, tell jokes, perform magic, make music, are a drama enthusiast, gymnast or have any other talent, The Palms Twilight Market wants you to show off your skills.

Friday 18th November is when the market will be held and there are several ways you can enter yourself for the big show. Drop into the Canowindra Newsa-gent for an entry form, log on to: http://www.thepalmscanowindra.com.au or fill out the form in last week’s Canowindra Phoenix.
