Positive Signs As No New Cases in Locked Down Neighbouring LGAs

While there had been no official announcement at the time of writing, the neighbouring shires of Cabonne, Orange and Blayney looked certain to come out of lockdown by the end of today as planned, with no new cases having been reported since the initial cases that caused the lockdown to be activated.

According to the Western NSW Local Health District, there was only one active case in the region as of Monday, with that person being located in Cabonne Shire.

Since the “Stay At Home” orders were put in place, more than 10,600 Covid-19 tests have been performed in the Orange, Blayney and Cabonne local government areas. This represents almost 17 per cent of the population. For information on COVID-19 testing locations go to the NSW Government website at www.nsw.gov.au and click the COVID-19 button to search for your nearest location. Anyone with symptoms related to COVID-19 should arrange to be tested and self-isolate until they receive their results.

For information on COVID-19 vaccination go to the COVID-19 Vaccine Eligibility Checker at www.health.gov.au
