Cowra Winter Wanderlust Returns

The Cowra Winter Wanderlust celebration is back! After the immense success of the first festival, Cowra Tourism Corporation have once again partnered with the Cowra Show Society Inc. along with a number of local businesses and groups to bring a full program of wonderful events to compliment the Cowra Wine Show Public Tasting.

With events to suit all, gather a group of friends, book your accommodation and spend the weekend in Cowra!

Join in on the festivities of the Cowra Wine Show weekend with the Cowra Winter Wanderlust Weekend running from July 21st till the 23rd!

School Holiday Round Up

CINC - A free screening of The Little Mermaid Movie will be held on Wednesday, 5th July from 1:30pm - 3:45 pm at Cowra Civic Centre. Bookings are essential through CINC’s website. They have several other activities on through out the holidays, so be sure to check out their social pages for more information.

Age of Fishes - Age of Fishes in Canowindra are hosting a free family science day on Saturday July 1st. Free craft, BBQ and entry to the museum on the day

Cowra Tennis Camps - Camps will run from 11th to 13th July from 9-11 am. $35 Per day. Bring lunch, morning tea and snacks. Tennis rackets are available to borrow or buy. Contact Helen Garrett on 0407 139 164 for more info.

Check out our libraries - Our local libraries both in Cowra and surrounding villages have a lot to offer to make these Winter school holidays bearable. A full program of events can be found on their website, Central West Libraries, Day Trips - Don’t forget we are surrounded by national parks, heritage listed towns and villages, exciting play grounds, bike tracks and tourist attractions.

Free Community Music Program

WNSW PHN will be offering a free community music therapy program will be delivered in Cowra and across the Central West between July and November 2023

“Embracing Diversity, Nurturing New Mothers, and Supporting Addiction Recovery through Music Therapy” - Proudly Funded by WNSW PHN Resourced Music Therapy is proud to introduce the following programs, made possible by the generous support from WNSW PHN:

  • Postnatal Music Therapy Program: Experience the power of music therapy in nurturing new mothers and addressing postnatal depression and anxiety. Join us in a supportive environment where you and your little one(s) can explore the benefits of music therapy.

  • Supporting Addiction Recovery Music Therapy Program: Discover the trans-formative role of music in addiction recovery. Our program offers a safe and compassionate space where individuals on their recovery journey can find strength, inspiration, and support through music.

  • Aboriginal and Indigenous Music Therapy Program: We celebrate and honor the rich cultural heritage of Aboriginal and Indigenous communities through music. Join us as we embrace diversity, foster empowerment, and strengthen connections through the universal language of music.

Morongola Red Cross

The Morongola branch of the Red Cross will hold their annual meeting on Wednesday, 5th July, after the conclusion of the monthly CWA and Red Cross meeting. The annual meeting will commence at 2.45pm at the Morongola Hall.

Morongola CWA

The June monthly meeting was held recently. We enjoyed hearing about Barbara and her husband traveling to WA. The cultural was alliterations and next month members are asked to bring along something winter related.
