We recently held the monthly meeting at the Morongla Hall. Arrangements were made for holding the street stall in front of the chemist on Friday April 8th.

This was a very successful stall, thank you to all who helped in any way. Mary Ryan won the hamper raffle. Thank you to the chemist for letting us hold our stand outside of your store.

The next meeting will be held 1:30pm Wednesday 4th May at Morongla Hall.

Morongla CWA News

The Monthly C.W.A. meeting was held in the Morongla Hall recently.

The results from the Handicraft and Cooking Contest 2022 were Morongla Handicraft 3rd, the judge from Peak Hill. Morongla won the members branch brooches competition. Jenny Anderson did well with her quilt, and Mary Binnington in the over 80’s won knitted stuffed toy a rooster.

Individual with the most points. Jean Langfield, 31 points. And Myrtle Wright 2nd with 7 Points.

The Judge Sheena Rigby from Bathurst awarded Jean Langfield Champion with Assorted Plain Biscuits.

The winners will be entered at state level. Shesar Nanearcow read about the Country for study, and Della Toohey for Cultural asked members thinking puzzles.

Morongla C.W.A. meeting finished with a cuppa. Next meeting Wednesday 1:30pm Morongla Hall, 4th May.

Free Quad Bike Program To Protect Kids

Students across regional NSW are putting safety first, as a free quad bike safe-ty program kicks off across the state for kids aged 16 years and older.

As part of Youth Week, SafeWork NSW has partnered with Tocal College to deliver over 400 free training events for quad bikes and side-by-side vehicles in regional and remote NSW schools. Eligible students who complete the training will receive a certificate of accreditation and a AS/NZS 3838-06 compliant helmet.

The free training is made possible by the SafeWork NSW Quad Bike Safety Improvement Program in partnership with NSW Department of Primary Industries, Tocal Agricultural College.
