Long-Term Permits Now Available For Travelling Stock Reserves

Long-Term Permits Now Available For Travelling Stock Reserves

Livestock producers across the Central Tablelands have been invited to apply for long-term access to a number of Travelling Stock Reserves (TSRs). Biosecurity Officer, Dean Taylor, said producers can now submit an application for a Management Agreement Permit, which will provide them with certainty of TSR access for years to come. Under measures introduced in 2020 by Local Land Services, Management Agreement Permits across NSW are now standardised, and the process of assessing applications is more robust. Successful applicants are selected using comprehensive criteria, which ensures the region’s TSR network is looked after properly. For more information on Management Agreement Permits, Central Tablelands producers can visit www.lls.nsw.gov.au/tsr and also view a map of available TSRs. Permit applications must be submitted by 5.00pm Friday 7 May 2021. Anyone considering submitting an application should read and understand the TSR State-wide Plan of Management and the Best Environmental Management Practice Toolkit for TSRs, which are both available on the Local Land Services website.

2021 flickerFest comes to Canowindra

The main films in this year’s selection is “Dust Cloud” written and directed by Trudi Regshauge from near Darby’s Falls. Trudi won a scholarship with the Australian Film Television and Radio School for this film which was shot on location near Woodstock in the first week of March, 2020. Three days later, the COVID lockdowns were enforced. “Dust Cloud” is about a badly behaved working dog who changes his tune when he is given the love and respect he deserves from a prudent country woman, and these are the first showings in country NSW. Rosnay Organic Vineyard, the official wine sponsor for FlickerFest, is hosting the screenings on the 17th and 30th April. More information and bookings are at https://rosnay.com.au/product/flickerfest-canowindra-17-april/
