Santa was one very popular and jolly man over the weekend as he beat the storm clouds to stop in at multiple places across the shire.

Not only did he make his way around Cowra and out to Woodstock, but he made his arrivals in style.

Last Wednesday a generous pilot battled the wind to fly Santa into the Cowra airport.

After a quick fly by, excited children lined the gates as they watched the sky as the plane circled and touched down on the tarmac, welcomed by an arch of water courtesy of two fire trucks.

With a jam packed schedule he made an appearance at the golf club on Friday night but this time he made his grand entrance in a tinsel clad golf cart.

He took his time in the sweltering heat to chat to all the children, bringing smiles to their faces as they walked away with a little gift each.

Rumor has it he stopped by the Mr Whippy van before he departed for his next visit.

The golf club was bursting at the seams as patrons threw the masks away and enjoyed the company of friends and family.

But it seems Santa had his eye set on one last grand entrance as he made his way to Woodstock in a fire truck along with two cheeky elves to pay a visit to the local children of the village on Saturday night.

As groups of people came together to celebrate and interact it quickly became clear just how much the community needed to be together again after such a tough year.

As Christmas day draws closer it is a timely reminder to take a step back and enjoy the new found freedoms with loved ones this holiday season.
