Exercise class Pram Power is continuing to give local mums a place to train in a friendly environment with their ‘bubs’ by their side, and founder Sarah Mead says it’s a great way for mums to connect with other mums while exercising.

Mrs Mead, a qualified fitness instructor, started Pram Power in Sydney over 10 years ago and started the program in Cowra five years ago, with the program now running in both locations.

Pram Power classes are run at local parks for one hour and feature a warm-up, posture reboot, and bodyweight strength exercises for the stomach and backside.

Classes also include a pram walk or light jog around the park, cardio, strength, and core exercises and stretching.

However, classes are not only beneficial for fitness, as they also provide a great social experience for both mums and their children, giving them the chance to make new friends. Mrs Mead said giving mums the chance to exercise with their children by their side was the reason she started Pram Power.

Cowra-based Pram Power student Amy Mugridge, a self-described Pram Power enthusiast, said the classes were especially great for mums who are new to town, as it made for a great way of making new friends.

Pram Power Cowra runs at River Park every Wednesday at 9:30am. If you’re interested in joining visit www.prampower.com.au, see their Facebook page, Pram Power Australia, or phone Mrs Mead on 0447 357 177, or email her
