New Play Area Opens At Services Club

The Cowra services Club last week unveiled its new kids play area, which was the final part of its bistro renovation to be completed.

The room features an indoor climbing playground, as well as various other toys and objects for kids to play with or sit or lay on.

Services Club Manager Lloyd Garratt said it was a part of the club’s strategy of becoming a more child and family friendly venue.

“Families can now dine in the bistro and not have to worry about being distracted by their kids, as they can go and play in the playground,” he said. “It’s part of the direction we’re trying to take the club in, which is to be more inclusive of children and families.”

Mr Garratt said the club hoped to do more with the playroom in the future, and said it was perfectly positioned for families dining in the bistro towards the back of the bistro, where the playroom is located.

“When families book a table in the bistro, we will place them there so they’re close to their kids when they’re playing,” he said.
