Postcards of Peace on dispay in the foyer of Cowra Council.

As part Cowra’s Peace Day Program last month, Cowra Council collaborated with the Cowra Youth Council and the Cowra World Peace Bell Association to take part in the Postcards for Peace project.

Students across the Shire were invited to colour-in one of the special Postcards for Peace and write a message of peace on the reverse.

Special thanks to the students of St Raphael’s Catholic School, Mulyan Public School, Woodstock Public School and Holmwood Public School for taking part in the project. Their colourful postcards and beautiful messages of peace are now on display in the foyer of Cowra Council.

The postcards will be sent to the United Nations Secretary General next month as messages of peace from the children of Cowra Shire.
