Local Grants Recipients Announced

Cowra Shire Council is delighted to announce the recipients of the funding allocations for Round 1 of the 2023/2024 Cowra Community Grants Program.

Cowra Shire Mayor Ruth Fagan said “the Community Grants Program is a testament to Council’s commitment to supporting local organisations and initiatives that contribute to the enrichment of the community.”

“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the grant recipients and look forward to witnessing the positive impact of their endeavours across the Cowra Shire,” said Mayor Fagan.

“This funding allocation, reflects our commitment to supporting a diverse range of community-driven initiatives. We believe that these projects will contribute significantly to the cultural, historical, and recreational fabric of our town,” said Mayor Fagan.

“This is the 17th round of Cowra Community Grant funding and we had 22 applications with 19 approved totalling $25,566 and taking the total over 17 rounds and 329 projects to $389,549.34,” said Ruth.

“We applaud the dedication and passion of these local groups and are grateful for the positive impact they have on our shire.”

Recipients include Country Women’s Association of NSW Cowra Branch, Cowra Art Group Inc, RSL Cowra Sub-Branch, Cowra Motorcycle Racing Club, Darbys Fall Progress Association and Urban Landcare Group Inc, Gooloogong Historical Society Inc, Lachlan Valley Railway Society Co-op Ltd:, Woodstock Memorial Show Inc:, Cowra Masonic Hall Inc:, Cowra and District Aero Club Inc, Artists of Cowra East, Morongla Show Society Inc, Cowra Squash Club, Cowra Junior Soccer Club Inc, Cowra Community Chest Inc, Cowra Junior Rugby League, Cowra and District Historical Society Inc, Cowra Eisteddfod Inc, and Cowra Arts and Craft Society Inc.
