Paschal Gidney-Bryant, Holly Meadow and Andy Peterson are ready to see everyone at the pool this season

Cowra Aquatic Centre is now open and ready to welcome our local community to come on down and enjoy our fabulous pool.

New manager, Andy Peterson, has already started to make some great changes to the Aquatic Centre.

The 2023/2024 swim season will have all the usual activities on offer like leisure swimming, fitness classes, learn to swim and available form babies aged 6 months to lessons for adults.

Learn to Swim and Fitness Classes can all be booked through their new online booking platform. Classes can be booked and rescheduled all through the program, making it easier than ever to get every member of your family swimming this season.

They will also be bringing the fun to the season with the inflatables making a return to the Aquatic Centre. Andy is also planning on bringing the community together with events like theme pool parties and catering for celebrations like Birthday and Christmas parties.

The first of these theme event will be a Halloween Pool Party on October 28th from 5.30-8.30pm. Normal pool admission fees apply and all children must be supervised

One of the most exciting new things for the 2023/2024 season is the reopening of the Cafe attached to the pool. The Wriggly Bean Cafe can now be accessed from the car park side of the building with out paying pool entry to access. Arrange a catch up with friends over coffee and sweets they have on offer or bring the kids down for a cool treat after school.

The facility also hosts a large meeting / function room that has all the conveniences needed to host anything from meetings, training sessions or Birthday Parties. Contact the team at the Aquatic Centre for more information regarding the hire of the function rooms or to book your child’s next birthday party.

The meeting room will also be hosting training sessions for the staff and community members who may be interested in completing learn to swim teacher, first aid, and royal life saving courses. The first of these will be the Royal Life Saving Swim Teacher qualification on Monday, 30th October.

Don’t miss this opportunity to join a fulfilling career in aquatics with flexible work options available across Australia with this Nationally recognised course. This is your opportunity to help the kids of Cowra learn a skill for life.

The Aquatic Centre is also the host of the Cowra Amateur Swimming Club, The Cowra Stingrays. The club trains a couple of afternoons a week with their club night being Tuesday evenings. For more information on everything that is on offer for the 2023/24 season contact Andy and the team at the Aquatic Centre on 02 6340 2150.
