Cowra Council has completed important works along Macquarie Street, rejuvenating the raised garden beds surrounding the iconic plane trees between Kendal Street and Eagle Place.
The project involved removing old and uneven pavers, clearing excess soil and exposed tree roots, removing an outdated sprinkler system, repairing kerbing, and mulching the garden beds.
These upgrades have not only enhanced the overall appearance of the streetscape but have also significantly improved pedestrian safety and accessibility in the area.
The project was completed efficiently over two weeks, with minimal disruption to the community. Council appreciates the public’s patience during intermittent closures of parking bays throughout the work period.
This is another great example of Council’s ongoing commitment to maintaining safe and welcoming public spaces for residents and visitors.
