Cowra residents are now able to access a free pack of face masks, hand sanitiser and sanitiser wipes thanks to the combined efforts of Cowra’s Emergency Management Committee and the Cowra Information and Neighbourhood Centre (CINC).

After a successful application to be included in the Resilience NSW Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Support Program, supplies arrived in Cowra this week and the team at CINC have been busy preparing 600 packs for Cowra families to access free of charge.

“With the recent increase in cases of COVID-19 across regional NSW, now is a critical time for everyone to be extra vigilant. While residents should only leave the home for essential services, it’s terrific to know they can access these free products to stay safe if they must leave the home,” said Officer in Charge of Cowra and Local Emergency Operations Controller, Inspector Adam Beard.

“If you are out of the home on essential business, please pop in to CINC on Vaux Street and collect a pack. There will be a limit of one pack per family. Our team members will also be distributing packs to those vulnerable and isolated members of our community who may not be in a position to access these products,” said CEO of CINC, Fran Stead.

Each pack contains 50 face masks, two bottles of hand sanitiser and a packet of sanitising wipes. Packs are available at CINC’s Office at 15 Vaux Street between 9.30 an-d11am or 12.30pm and 3pm, Monday to Friday until stock runs out.

“The message remains clear: don’t put your family, friends and the community at risk — stay safe and stay home unless absolutely essential to leave. Everyone’s actions make a difference,” said Inspector Beard.
