The amenities block at the Gooloogong Recreation Park will receive a $70,311 upgrade courtesy of funding under the NSW Government Crown Reserves Improvement Fund.

The funding will see showers and accessible toilets installed at the existing amenities block, and will be of great benefit for caravanners staying at the caravan park near the Recreation park, as well as travellers visiting or passing through Gooloogong.

$10,279 will also be spent on travelling stock routes in Cowra Shire to assist with weed control as part of the same funding program.

Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke said the funding would be a great asset to each community involved in this round.

“Crown reserves provide land for recreation, community organisations and facilities, and protect our environment including habitat for native plants and animals,” Ms Cooke said.
