The Adidas Pro-Am Series came to Cowra for the first time in 18 years last weekend, with 43 professional golfers coming to Cowra to play at the Cowra Golf Club.

The event ran for two days last Saturday and Sunday and featured a professional division as well as three divisions of men’s amateurs, and a lady’s amateur division.

There were some big names from the Australian PGA that came to Cowra, including former US PGA Tour winner Nathan Green, and Dave Bransdon, a four-time merit winner, along with five other previous Australian PGA winners.

Cowra Golf Club Professional Tom Perfect said it proved to be a great opportunity for local golf players in Cowra to play along-side some of the best professionals in Australia.

“It was great for our players to play alongside them and give them professional experience, especially because some of them have won PGA tours in the past,” he said.

The professional golfers were joined by around 80 amateurs competing in the amateur divisions, making for a very busy weekend at the Cowra Golf Club.

The professional division came to a thrilling end with Jake Higginbottom and Jordan Mullaney ties at 10-under each, with Higginbottom claiming victory after one play-off hole on the 18th. Austin Bautista came in third at 9-under, while Nathan Green and Dave Bransdon rounding out the top five with 8-under and 7-under respectively.

Emma Tree took out the Ladies amateur division with 67 points, while Josh Weston claimed the men’s C Grade with 76 points. Dave Thomas won B Grade with 75, and Cam Jackson took out A Grade on 72.
