Cowra Sports Person of the Year 2021-22 Monthly Nominee – Tom Cummins – Rugby Union

Tom Cummins has been nominated for his achievement in being named Blowes Cup Player of the Year at their end of season awards ceremony.

A local rugby product, Tom refined his game at boarding school before returning home and quickly becoming a dominant force throughout the Cowra Eagles premiership winning season.

The Player of the Year polling is conducted through referees each game awarding points to the best players on the day. While it is unusual for a tight head prop to win the award, Tom was able to impress to referees up close, as he bettered his opponents and allowed for a dominant Cowra scrum to set the agenda in most games.

Tom will again be a cornerstone of Cowra Eagles attempt to win back to back premierships in the 2022 Central West competition.

Tom is a worthy nominee for the 2021-22 Cowra Sports Per-son of the Year Award.
