On Saturday morning, Cowra Junior Rugby Leagues - League Tag girls headed over to Bathurst to play against the Bathurst Panthers, in their first trial match for the season. Despite the cold, windy weather the girls played superbly. Abby Bohanna, Indi Chilstone and Maddon Stones successfully crossed the line scoring tries for the Under 11’s, while Peyton Hanley scored for the under 13’s. Vye Singleton, Keira Buckley and Natasha Hager scored tries for the under 16’s, who played a fantastic game against the Panthers.
The light hearted match saw the Under 11’s play for an extra fifteen minutes over time, allowing the girls to kick off the League Tag season with some fun. The trial match was thoroughly enjoyed by the teams, and everyone who braved the chilly temperatures to support our Cowra girls.
