Cowra High School hosted a highly successful trade day last Tuesday, with school students from across Cowra descending on the school for the event. It featured stall holders across many fields and disciplines, with the school’s gymnasium and basketball courts full of them.

Cowra High School Principal Helene Hamilton said it was a great opportunity for students to pursue interests in trades.

“Not all students can get straight into university or have the desire to go to university, and they need to know what the y can, and when they can start an apprenticeship or traineeship,” she said.

“It was great to see so many trades here and we were excited to host it at our school and open it up to the whole community.”

Stall holders included agricultural services, emergency services, Fly Oz, Australian Defence Force, TAFE, Verto, Council, construction, hair dressing, careers providers, real estate, mining, physiotherapy, carpentry, tools, health and roads infrastructure.

The Rotary Club of Cowra hosted a free BBQ on the day.
