Cowra Eisteddfod Annual Meeting

Club Cowra Brisbane Street - at 7pmThursday 7th November

All interested persons invited to attend.

The Annual Meeting of the Cowra Eisteddfod Inc. will be held on Thursday 7th November, in the auditorium at Club Cowra and is open to all interested people.

The Cowra Eisteddfod has been running successfully for 70 years, and attracts competitors from all over the state, and has a reputation for being well run, and providing excellent prize money, Scholarship & Championships in all disciplines of the performing arts.

The Eisteddfod has a wonderful group of volunteers who come forward each year.

However to continue to provide these opportunities for Vocal, Instrumental, Dance and Speech & Drama students, more volunteers are needed to assist in the running of the sessions.

There are many ways that people can assist in the running of the Eisteddfod Sessions. You can help for 1 session - or several sessions, in a friendly, enjoyable atmosphere. All assistance is greatly appreciated, and can be undertaken by anyone. No special skills are needed.

Help is needed backstage - to check off the competitors as they arrive - or to fill out certificates and hand out reports at the office - to prepare trays for morning/afternoon teas and deliver to the other volunteers. All positions are done in pairs, so there is always another helper with you. If you are willing and able to help in any of these positions, please email (committee@cowraeisteddfod.com.au for more information - or attend the next meeting on 7th November. The General/Planning meeting will follow the Annual Meeting.

If you are unable to attend the meeting - zoom attendance will be available.

Please contact the secretary on the above email to obtain the information needed to join the zoom meeting.

Adjudicators for all the disciplines have been booked -and the syllabus has been reviewed and will be printed in the near future.

Preparations for the 2025 - 71st Cowra Eisteddfod are well underway. However we do need your help to assist with running the eisteddfod sessions over the three weeks from 7th May to 1st June 2025. We look forward to welcoming new helpers to our group.
