The Annual General Meeting of the Cowra Eisteddfod Inc. was recently held at the Services Club, with the majority of the committee returned to their positions as follows:

President - Mandy Charnock
Vice Presidents - Jan Munday & Mary-ann Wright
Secretary - Jenny Friend
Treasurer - Richard Neate

Co-ordinators in charge of the different disciplines will be:
Vocal - Maryann Wright
Speech & Drama - Jenny Friend Instrumental -Helen Johnston
Dance - Hayley Barker

The 68th Annual Eisteddfod will be held May/June 2022.

Several changes have been made to the organisation and running of the Eisteddfod, to cater for the increased number of entries, particularly in the Dancing Sections, and the limited seating available in the Civic Centre. The Dance Group sections will be split over two weekends with 5-6 and 8 years group sections being held on Saturday 7th May, with all other age groups (10-12-14 years and Open division) to be held on the 21st and 22nd May.

All tickets for the Dance Group Sessions will be sold online prior to the competition, to prevent overcrowding. Ticket sales will be advertised well in advance, and will be restricted in numbers.

Another major change will be the Speech and Drama sections which will be held at the Services Club auditorium, from the 11th to 15th May. This will enable the senior sections to be held over the weekend, which will make it more practical for the competitors.

All other disciplines will be held at the Civic Centre from 11th to 29th May - with the popular Concert of Major prize-winners to be held on 2nd June.

The Cowra Eisteddfod Committee is very grateful to the sponsors and volunteers who continue to support the running of this major event each year. The eisteddfod provides the opportunity for lovers of the performing arts to compete and/or enjoy the performances, with competitors, families and friends coming from several states each year.

The Cowra Eisteddfod is renowned for the high standard of competition, and the efficient running of the three week long competition.
