Cowra CUC Appoints New Manager

The Country Universities Centre Cowra Region Board of Directors are pleased to announce that Alyce Tree has been appointed to the position of Centre Manager.

Previously the Student Services Coordinator, Alyce has been acting in the Centre Manager role since the departure of former Centre Manager Stephen Kilner.

On her appointment to the role, Ms Tree said “As the new Centre Manager, I am committed to supporting the ongoing growth and success of the CUC Cowra Region. A place where students can thrive in their studies, feel supported, stay connected and enjoy everything our beautiful Cowra region has to offer”.The Country Universities Centre Cowra Region opened in March 2023 and recently celebrated 200 registered students in September 2025.

“We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Alyce to the Centre Manager role” Chairperson Stassi Austin said. “Alyce has a strong track record of ensuring student success and wideningparticipation in the Centre, evident through the student enrolment numbers and event attendance over the past couple of months. This is great foundation of success that we can’t wait to build on.”

The Country Universities Centre (CUC) is a network over 28 community owned and operated centres across over 40 locations in regional NSW, Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania, and Norfolk Island.

The Centres provide equitable access to higher education for regional people without the need to leave their community.

Each CUC provides face-to-face academic and wellbeing student support services from local staff, and facilities that have quiet study spaces, breakout rooms, high-speed internet, and a local learning community. This allows students to have the physical infrastructure and personalised face-to-face local support needed to ensure their higher education success.
