Cowra’s newest community hub will be opening next Friday, with Cowra Community Enterprise Inc. opening up in the old Cowra Glass building at 141 Kendal Street.

It comes after the group also started operating a store out of the Cowra Tip on Glenlogan Road.

The organisation was founded by a group of individuals who believe in creating inclusive workplaces for people of all abilities.

The founding members of this community-driven organisation are Karren Cave, Shirley Sim, Frances Woodbridge, Geoffrey Power, Cassie Easther, and Judy Spratt.

Together, they share a common vision of removing barriers and creating an environment that welcomes and empowers everyone.

The organisation is driven by four core values: Integrity, Respect, Empowerment, and Excellence.

These values guide the members in their mission to create a workplace that is in-clusive, welcoming, and empowering for people of all abilities.

The Cowra Community Enterprise Inc. has received much appreciated support from the local shire, which is allowing it to operate from 236 Glenlogan Rd, Cowra, (the Tip) where it will be open six days a week from 10-2.

141 Kendal St will be the organisation’s main centre, with the grand opening of the community hub on the 17th of March, 2023, from 4-9 pm. Thereafter, the shop will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10-4 pm. The Cowra Community Enterprise Inc. is a community-driven organisation that thrives on volunteers.

It is always looking for people who share their vision and are willing to offer their time and energy to create an inclusive community.

If you’re interested in volunteering or have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact one of our very approachable committee members: Frances at 0478554958, Shirley at 0407223483, or Karren at 0432445988.
