Cowra Business Chamber President Jordan Core has urged all local businesses that are eligible for the state government’s Dine & Discover voucher program to do so.
The vouchers are set to roll out to all of NSW this month.
All residents in NSW aged 18 or over will be eligible to receive four $25 vouchers each, which will need to be spent at eligible businesses that are registered to the program. Eligible businesses must register through Service NSW to be able to have vouchers spent within their businesses.
Mr Core said it was vital for local eligible businesses to register for the program, in order to cash in on the economic boost it would provide them.
“In particular we’re talking about all of our local cafes, restaurants, pubs and clubs that were shut down for a significant period of time last year. This is a great way for them to ensure they get a cash flow boost, and help stimulate the Cowra economy,” he said.
To be eligible, a business must have an ABN, be registered for GST, and have a COVID Safe Plan.
Businesses are eligible if they are in the industries of cafés and restaurants, pubs, taverns, wineries, bars and clubs, scenic and sightseeing transport, cinemas, museums, galleries and historic sites, zoos, botanic gardens, wildlife parks and nature reserves, performing arts operations, theatres and entertainment centres, amusement, theme and water parks, recreational activities such as go-karting, indoor climbing, mini-golf, billiards, bowling or ice-rinks, outdoor adventures, and travel agencies and tours.
