Civic Centre Cinema Temporarily Closed

The Cowra Civic Centre would like to inform the Cowra community that due to a malfunctioning part that connects its cinema system to the sound system, it has been experiencing intermittent audio issues which have resulted in sessions needing to be cancelled.

With the fault being intermittent and hard to predict when the sound will not function correctly, creating uncertainty and deteriorating the standard of service the venue has been working so hard to build, it has made the decision to temporarily close the cinema for film screenings.

The replacement part has been delayed and is not expected to arrive in Cowra for another 1–2 weeks.

The Civic Centre is currently aiming to reopen the cinema on Thursday, 7 August 2025.
