Over the weekend the Cowra Civic Centre sprung to life with the fabulously vibrant concert from the Cowra Dance Factory. Over two jam packed days, the students performed an itinerary of magical dances.

On Saturday the long que to get in did little to deter family and friends who were eager to be out and about and watch the young dancers perform the numbers they had been excitedly practicing and perfecting for weeks. The audience were swept away into the world of storytelling with themes such as Cat in the Hat, Ballerinas, Journey’s around the world and much more, including a sprinkle of cuteness as the little Caterpillars took to the stage.

In a sea of sparkles, tutus and shine the dancers showcased some captivating choreography. Parents were delighted with the two finales including a surprise presentation at the end. Covid had placed restraints on capacity both on stage and behind the scenes, however the staff and volunteers at Cowra Dance Factory pulled it off flawlessly.

The end of the weekend saw many tiny dancers taking to their pillow with larger than life smiles for a well-earned rest as the big concert came to an end, however the excitement for most, including the lucky trophy winners will undoubtedly carry on long into the week.
