Cowra’s best Christmas lights dislays have been on show since late November, with the winners of the Cowra Tourism Corporation’s Cowra Christmas Lights Competition to be announced on Friday. This year’s lights displays have been spectacular, with a number of addresses in the running for each category in this year’s competition.

Entrants have battled it out for a share in $5,000 worth of Cowra Cash Cards this year, across the categories of Best House ($1,500 Cowra Cash prize), Runner-up ($1,000 Cowra Cash prize), Best Village/Rural Property ($1,500 Cowra Cash prize), People’s Choice ($1,000 Cowra Cash prize), Best Business Dislay (Commemorative Plaque prize), and Best Street (Commemorative Street Sign prize).

Judging of the entrants will take place tonight, with three Cowra locals selected as the judges, with the winners announced on the Cowra Christmas Festival Facebook page on Friday. The People’s Choice Award is the only exception, with voting from the general public to determine the winner of this category.

To vote for this category go to https://form.jotform.com/223517749432864. Voting closes on Friday.

A digital map has been setup so people can see where each registered Christmas lights display is located on Google Maps. To see the location of each property to go https://tinyurl.com/CCHLC2022.

There are 38 properties registered, with two being businesses, 26 being homes in Cowra, four in Woodstock and one in Wattamondara.
