After a challenging couple of years Cowra Musical & Dramatic Society is celebrating being back on the stage with Cowra Showcase featuring Cowra’s finest talent.

“There are new faces as well as familiar faces in Showcase. Audiences will be surprised, amazed and, of course, entertained by the great line up of talent in the show,” said Jenny Friend, from the Cowra Musical and Dramatic Society.

Cowra Showcase brings to the stage many of the hit tunes of past musicals including classics like Cabaret, Oklahoma, Calamity Jane, Annie Get Your Gun, Company and Follies, as well as songs from contemporary musicals The Greatest Showman, Wicked, Jekyll & Hyde, Matilda, Chicago and Waitress the Musical. Audiences will love some of the popular numbers from Andre Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music, Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Mikado and stage and screen musical Man of La Mancha amongst others.

Performances will be on Friday June 17th and Saturday June 18th at 7.30 pm and Sunday June 19th at 2.00pm.

Cowra Showcase offers some of the best value entertainment around. Tickets are now on sale from the Civic Centre and can be purchased either online (cowraciviccentre.com), by phone (02-6340 2130) or in person.

“It is exciting to be back treading the boards,” Jenny said. “We are looking forward to putting on a great show for Cowra”.
