50 Years of Junior League In Cowra

IMAGE: The Cowra Magpies will be celebrating 50 years of junior rugby league next month.

Excitement is building at the Magpie nest as the big celebration day of the 50th anniversary of junior league in Cowra inches closer.

President Justin Gunn would like the community to save the 26th of June in their calendars.

“It will be a massive game day, we are hoping to get the old boys down to the fields and have some entertainment for the kids.”

While the club has been busy collecting old photos, they still need more. With plans to create a nostalgic display of enlarged vintage photographs of ex junior league players from the past 30 decades.

Justin hopes to make it a memorable day for everyone who has been involved over the years. The club would like to put a call out to the community, to dust off their old albums and dig out those pictures.
