On Friday 10th November, members of the Cowra RSL sub-Branch visited Weeroona Ages care Residence and Bilyara Retirement Village to commemorate Remembrance Day with residents and staff.

The sub-Branch representatives who attended and participated in the service were given a warm welcome by both venues.

The services were presented by the president of Cowra sub-Branch, Ms Lesley Marshall, who gave a brief outline of Australian involvement in Europe During World War One. The RSL Padre, Lieutenant Jodie McInness then recited a prayer, followed by a reading of the poem “In Flanders Field”. The Last Post and Reveille were played, followed by the National Anthem to conclude the service. The sub-Branch representatives who attended and participated in the service were given a warm welcome by both venues.

The RSL sub-Branch would like to thank both venues for their support and the residents for attending the services.
